Evolve Community
Terms of Membership
Last updated: 14 September 2026
These Terms of Membership ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you ("Member", "you") and Evolving Coherence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15790054, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ ("we", "us", "the Company"), governing your membership of the Evolve community ("Evolve", "the Community"), hosted on the Skool platform.
By signing up for Evolve, paying the membership fee, or otherwise accessing the Community, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not join.
1. What Evolve is
Evolve is a paid peer community focused on conscious evolution, resilience, and engaged response to the climate and ecological crisis, including discussion, Q&A sessions, monthly webinars, and regular written content, hosted via the Skool platform at skool.com/evolve/-5701/about.
Evolve is not: individual or group therapy, psychotherapy, or a substitute for mental health treatment (members experiencing a mental health crisis or seeking therapeutic support should contact a qualified, registered therapist or, in an emergency, their local emergency services); medical, financial, or legal advice of any kind; or a guarantee of any particular outcome, transformation, or result.
2. Membership fee and payment
2.1 The standard membership fee is £10 per month (or the then-current price shown at signup), billed monthly in advance via the Skool platform's payment processor. Members may optionally contribute more than the standard fee at signup or at any time.
2.2 Financial hardship: if the standard fee is not accessible to you, you may contact evolve@christophergladwell.com directly to request an alternative arrangement. Any such arrangement is granted at the Company's discretion and is handled outside the standard Skool signup flow.
2.3 Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice to existing Members before the change takes effect on their next billing cycle. Continued membership after that date constitutes acceptance of the new price; Members who do not agree may cancel under Section 4.
3. Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)
3.1 If you are a consumer based in the UK or the EU, you have a statutory right to cancel this contract within 14 calendar days of joining, without giving any reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (or the equivalent EU Consumer Rights Directive implementation in your country of residence).
3.2 To cancel within this period, contact us at evolve@christophergladwell.com stating clearly that you wish to cancel. We will refund the membership fee paid, normally within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, using the same payment method you used to pay.
3.3 If you access paid content or attend a live session (workshop, webinar, Q&A) during the 14-day period, you acknowledge that we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already supplied from any refund, in accordance with the Regulations — we will tell you the deducted amount, if any, when confirming your cancellation.
3.4 Members outside the UK/EU should check whether equivalent consumer protection laws apply in their own country; nothing in these Terms is intended to reduce any statutory right you may have under your local law.
3.5 After the 14-day period, membership fees already paid are non-refundable, but you may cancel future billing at any time under Section 4.
4. Cancelling your ongoing membership
4.1 You are free to cancel your membership at any time, for any reason, with no penalty and no requirement to give notice beyond the current billing period.
4.2 To cancel, use the cancellation option within the Skool platform, or email evolve@christophergladwell.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you've already paid for — you will not be charged again, and you keep access until that period ends. We do not offer partial-month refunds for the period in which you cancel, except as required by Section 3.
5. Code of conduct
5.1 Evolve is a community built on mutual respect, wisdom, and fierce compassion. By joining, you agree not to: harass, bully, threaten, or demean any other Member, guest, or Evolve team member; post or promote hate speech, discrimination, or content that attacks people based on protected characteristics; use the Community to sell, advertise, or solicit for your own products, services, or other paid communities without our prior written permission; share pornographic, violent, or illegal content; impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation; share other Members' personal information without their consent; or attempt to circumvent membership fees, share paid login access with non-members, or redistribute paid content outside the Community.
5.2 Robust, challenging, and disagreeing discussion is welcome and expected — the Code of Conduct is about how people treat each other, not about requiring agreement or comfort with every viewpoint expressed.
6. Complaints and conflict mediation
6.1 Complaints about another Member's conduct: if you believe another Member has breached Section 5, please report it to evolve@christophergladwell.com with as much detail as possible (screenshots, dates, links). We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 business days.
6.2 Conflict mediation: where a disagreement between Members escalates but does not clearly breach the Code of Conduct, either party may request mediation by emailing evolve@christophergladwell.com. Christopher Gladwell (or a nominated facilitator) will offer to hold a structured conversation with both parties, using the community's own principles (wise communication, the six modes of attention) to work toward resolution. Mediation is offered in good faith but is not a legal or binding process, and either party may decline to participate.
6.3 Complaints about the Company or its facilitators: if you have a complaint about Evolve itself, a facilitator, or how a matter was handled, email evolve@christophergladwell.com with "Complaint" in the subject line. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and aim to respond substantively within 21 days.
6.4 Enforcement: breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the Community, at the Company's reasonable discretion, depending on severity. Removal for a clear and serious breach (e.g. harassment, hate speech, illegal content) does not entitle the Member to a refund of fees already paid, save for any statutory cooling-off rights under Section 3 that have not yet expired.
7. Membership process
7.1 To join, you sign up via skool.com/evolve/-5701/about, provide accurate registration details, and pay the current membership fee (or arrange an alternative under Section 2.2).
7.2 You must be at least 18 years old to join Evolve.
7.3 We reserve the right to decline or revoke membership at our reasonable discretion — for example, where someone has previously been removed for a serious Code of Conduct breach, or where we reasonably believe someone intends to use the Community for a purpose listed in the "not for" description on the Evolve page.
8. Free gift — “Protecting Planet Earth”
New Members receive a free digital copy of Christopher Gladwell's "Protecting Planet Earth" on signup, delivered as an instant download link. This is a gift, provided in addition to (not instead of) your paid membership, and is not affected by any subsequent cancellation.
9. Intellectual property
9.1 All content shared within Evolve by the Company or its facilitators (webinars, newsletters, talking points, posts, the free book) remains the intellectual property of the Company or its licensors. Membership grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use this content for your own learning while you remain a Member — it does not grant you the right to copy, redistribute, republish, or use it commercially.
9.2 Content you post within the Community remains yours, but by posting it you grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it within the Community for as long as your post remains there.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
10.1 Evolve is provided for educational, discussion, and community purposes. Nothing in the Community constitutes medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice, and you should seek appropriately qualified professional advice for your individual circumstances before acting on anything discussed within it.
10.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability to you arising out of or in connection with your membership is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Data protection
We process your personal data (name, email, payment details via Skool's payment processor, and your activity within the Community) in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, most commonly to reflect changes in the law, our processes, or the Community's features. We will give existing Members at least 30 days' notice of any material change by email or a Community post before it takes effect. If you do not agree to a material change, you may cancel your membership under Section 4 before it takes effect.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory protections under the law of your country of residence, and nothing in this Section removes those protections. Any dispute not resolved through the complaints/mediation process in Section 6 will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
